Hi, I just read that they are gonna have some race in daria..I wish the race are not gonna be AD&D race..cuz its not original..creat new race, don't just change the name..creat it..

Or don't put race..that's my opinion

If ya need somes idea for new race you can ask me if you want I got somes..

I believe we are going a different route with Races. I am not 100% sure on this but from the Concept Art I've seen the races definently wouldn't look the same and definently aren't going to be called the same if thats so.

Another thing that was mentioned by thewreck (in the public irc) is that we will probably lean towards races as more cultural and more faction based than that of this Race has -5 in int and this race has +4 in agility etc..

But again none of this is in stone.. its what is floating around atm.

Hell yeah. It's just boring with powergamish picks. This with faction-based is neat for roleplaying (say one race is favored a lot by a certain faction, yet if you really want to you can get along with the opponent faction as well or instead).

I have an Idea for How races could affect stats in a way without giving a Stat Bonus at the start but it involves changing the Exp System.

My idea is that depending on what weapon/magic you use certain stats would go up after some time(ie You use a heavy weapon your strength will be the stat going up the most). My idea with reaces is that each races affect you stats in a way so that an agility based race would get some agility even if he isn't using an "agility boosting weapon".

I don't know if this is clear to everyone. If it isn't, post here and I will try clearing it up.

Thats the whole idea. I think some races should be better or worse at certian things. It would be dumb if all races were the same. Well I guess that just my opinion.
