I plan to create my own (yeah, just a couple of years, you know=) mmorpg. And no, it's completely incompatible with the ideas I saw here ( = I'm not planning to steal ideas). I know cpp quite nice, but to the extend my university classes required. So, to the point. What IDEs do you guys use for programming, and what language do you use. I guess it's something like directX sdk, as directX is required? I never tried programming something that huge but now want to try. I'd also appreciate any links to the useful info. Thanks beforehand. _________________ ...so sayeth the wise Slayer.

[it's not "cat-slayer" (which would mean "cat that slays"), it's "catslayer" (which means "slayer of cats") therefore cutting my nick to "cat" is wrong] |

Well the akarra engine (www.akarra.net) was built using bordland c/c++ as it states in the FAQ and i can only imagine that the sprites and other image things are done in psp or Photoshop, and i dont know what else is needed for engines such as these :E |
