Along with the day/night cycle, could we have some sort of a clock in the GUI or a time command so we can see what the time is by Darian standards. It could also say for example how long the day/night cycle is, how long till night ends, how long till day begins / date or w/e Razz

-grins- I requested this too, once. Yes, it'd be a good addition. Maybe not as actual numbers, but as a sundial in the corner of the screen, or from a town crier.

It adds to the emotion of the game, not knowing how long it'll be till dark and you're wanting to trek to the otherside of the map to hunt some rabbits. Though it was annoying in akarra asking every you know if they know if it'll be dark soon.

Well, maybe some clock at town only ? Cause true, i dont expect the charaters to wear a watch, but i think some sort of a sundial in the town center would be possible

Hey, we had the minimap in Akarra too. That would imply that characters either could look in all directions, or that they were carrying some RADAR device around.

I like this idea, could do something similar to Warcraft III perchance? There's no need to write the exact numbers out, and for that sake, phase lengths could be a bit random. And hell, let's have DST in Daria! Cool

Didn't you watch 'Flintstones' with their pocket-watch Sundials? ;]

I like that idea! You can always look to the sky for a rough idea of the time, and that's what Warcraft 3 implented. Just a small symbol to show a rotating plate with the sun on one side and the moon and stars on the other Very Happy

I always figured in Akarra they were like maps each character had in his backpack

I like the idea of just a sundial in a corner, like in warcraft.
