i dont know about the games you play, but every single 3d game ive played (rpg that is, doom3, halflife2 and those others are exceptions since fps) lacks storyline. It's like "oh, look here, we got 1337 graphics, we dont need no story, just look at that spell and forget bout any story". Personally, i'd rather have MUCH worse gfx if it comes with better gameplay and storyline and community. Akarra has accomplished that for me. I personally don't care if the gfx are exactly the same, i'd play it. I remember asking khaile for a lower-version client when pa13 came out since my pc at the time couldn't handle it. even recall saying i'd play it even if it was text-based with the same gameplay. That's how much i like the game. It's truly the only one of its kind (well, the engine, since the games are somewhat simular). If you don't like the fact that the graphics aren't amazing 3d or isometric 2d or whatever the hell you were hoping for, i'll just say that you're playing for all the wrong reasons.Enough said...

P.S. don't start pointing out spelling / grammer mistakes / w/e, since im sick atm and barely able to stay awake, much less concentrate

I kind of agree with you, but for me, if the game has great gameplay, and replay value, then a a story is just a bonus. Akarra didnt really have a story but it was the most addictive game I've ever played. I agree with you when you said people only play 3d games because they are 3d. I dont care about graphics if the game is good. When Akarra went down, I started playing mu online. The graphics were 3d and the game as free. But I got so bored with it cause the gameplay sucked. I dont care about graphics.

graphics are for newbies. www.bat.org :p
nah, akarra was pretty and simple with nice paperdolling. it was like BD times better than those horrible 9-pose-animations we had in dransik.

MU online is THE supreme example of one the most non-story line and non-active administrators on the planet.

The preview, it's alright. Makes me a bit confusing with all those lights around (sprites? wisps?). The music is all right, not my style though. I do admit, it would rather fit into a GBA rpg then a PC rpg (The music).
But after all, since it's only a preview and most likely far from the end result, it looks good for the start.

Isn't the music in the end form FF7?

I knew i recalled it from a game, and i think it's from Final Fantasy 7

Down with 3D! BD

Dormeydo: The music has the same notes as The Final Fantasy music... but that music dates back to the first final fantasy. :P It also goes about two steps higher than the Final Fantasy music.

I feel sorry for Lorsaelos, this community is so frigging harsh - you attack without any provocation at all. He made the same point as me, that I do not want to see a port of Akarra with a different storyline. I doubt many of you do - I want the good 'ol Akarra graphics but with improvements to the system to prove how we are advancing. WiA was a hobby; I want this to be much more. I haven't been idling like a Swedish seal on irc for over a year just to piss off Dw-..

Wait.. Rolling Eyes
