I know that you devs havent really begun the game yet but I was just asking anyone how long it takes to create a game like this. I'm not asking for an exact date or month but I dont know much about developing games. How long did it take for Khaile to make Akarra? Thanks.

I believe it took Khaile a couple of years to create Akarra, but that included developing the engine and tools too which in itself is a great achievement.

Seeing as TheWreck and Kinten already have the Akarra engine most of the development will probably be game content such as world creation. It depends on how vast they want the world to be and what features they have planned but it probably wont be anytime soon that we will be seeing a feature-rich version; unless they have been working on it in secrecy for the past year ^^

They have most likely started it. Basically they can implement most of the features found in akarra, but they may want to change most of them to make the game "unique" Smile

Yea I'm excited as well. Maybe this is why the Akarra devs didnt make a new game, cause they already knew one like it was coming out. But if the devs were lying and are going to make a new game then there will be 2 games that have a lot in common.

Nah, who is going to care for Akarra now? A new world, a new start. As for release dates and such, I've been privileged with some information, but I think I'll pass on posting it.

I don't really want to say this or that dev was lying about Akarra's future; I imagine the devteam was scattered and many people took one developer's word as the entire team's, and so on. I'm just glad we get this.

And a very beautiful period of creation it must have been to create a game such as WiA, however i believe that Kinten and TW may be able to take the game's basics to a new level and bring us a very good game. I'm lovin' the screenies of Daria... the people and houses are actually proportional!! Very Happy
