Why would anyone in the land of Daria not beleive in a God anyway? I mean, if there's monsters walking around freely... chances are they're a little more open to things. Not following a religion I can understand, but not atheisism.

If we have religion we should have shrines around the world were ppl of the god the shrine was built for make a ceremony or just pray to gain a temporary bonus or be able to get access to a temple. Quests could be combined with the religion (religion based quests) like find all shrines (errand quest) but you have to make diffrent ceremonys at each of the shrine or maybe one of them was destroyed so you need to repair or concecrate the shrine

I kind of like the ceremony quest idea. That could be interesting. Don't necesarily have to be religious in nature either.

I am a Christian myself but I must ask:

If this a fictional world, in a fictional universe, with fictional cultures and people, why do you necessarily think they would be worshipping Christ or Satan?

Ahaha. Well, they could be worshipping the physical manifestation of the evil of mankind. Like wise, they would be worshipping the physical manifestation of all that is good about mankind.

You could argue that Satan is the manifestation of the evil that is always present in mankind.

Don't we already have a planned, untested, religion system...

This is what fuels Rech.

I'm not a huge fan of the 'magical shrine of stat rising' - just as a general principal, healing/stat-raising shrines have become a tad chiche. (I mean, I love a lot of cliche things, I just have a problem with this one. I actually don't really know why, It just bugs me).

Shrines with religious meaning that do not really do anything, but serve in a quest... now there's an idea I like.

I am strongly against creating any kind of gods to a MMORPG. While almost all MMORPGS do it, and they do add atmosphere, it seems to me more logical to have no gods. Mostly because they deter the very religious as well as the very non-religious crowd away from the game.

Well, they already have announced some kind of mythology. I don't mind gods, but I do mind being forced to follow one.
