My Idea is that when setting the Allias you could set it like this:

/alias(Command for setting aliases) "Nick" "quickword"

So for Example, I couls use /alias Ruisleipa Ruis to set Ruisleipa to an Alias of Ruis. To message him I could simply go /Ruis, which would consider it as if I was doing /t Ruisleipa

I don't have any Idea for messaging many people at once, unless you could create a /galias which would be for a group of people

If "Ruis" is the triggering alias why add the slash (/) when using it? Or did you mean all the alias's would automaticly contain that?

What I meant was, if the system checks for alias relevancies from only the first word, the slash thing isn't needed; thus even more faster typing. Razz

Now that I think of it, a /reply or /r would be useful against tells, to reply the last sender.. But off-topic.. Razz

My Idea is that there should be some sort of trigger before the alias word, in my opinion /, Because what if I walk into town and I say "Ruis How nice to see you." Normally this message would be said in general chat, whereas if you just use the single word, only you would get a message of How nice to see you, others would have no clue I just said something.

I think people would pretty quickly see the necessity for some kind of prefix... don't have to enforce one. ^^

What about hot keys, f1-f12...

/f1= " anything"

so u can not only do tell, but /g and otheres.

you can put your fav saying in it.

mind you, might get abused by spammers.

maybe make a blocking system, lolz. /block "such and such" and nothing they say registars... dose spamming actually slow down the game server that much?

Could just simply add another command called "bind" that'd be used for that.. example:

bind "space" "/s HELP!"

Now everytime you pressed space you'd say HELP!

Ofcourse this kind of system is not very working with the way Akarra's chat worked, but.. everything can be changed.

I would love basic combat and Magic aliases. I couldn't live without them in muds so it might be nice to implement them here. Very Happy
