I wonder if you already disscussed how crafting will work.
My idea:
Anvil and/or fireplaces in a Smithery (player controlled static object) giving depending on your skill diffrent options (Maybe a nice window like the one for trading opens when interacting with the objects). Working with em might incease your smith skill, higher skill more success and finer crafting. Maybe also possible to have the Blacksmith if one's around doing the job for you for a fee. So those who do not want to spend time on increasing the Crafting skill can get it done by an Npc.

we want to have crafting in the game, but we have yet to make the final decision for a system, so all suggestions are welcome!

unfurtunately i have no specific comments about that suggestion now. I will have to check around the design doc and see whats what.

And Miklo was bored again Very Happy
Some shortly made Crafting window I am not happy with but without the gfx arts its boring copy pasting Very Happy The Anvil btw i made myself with the help of a real life picture, the hammer is just stolen from a game

2nd Picture:
In the dark bowl you add the items to craft
In the Box next to the coins you add the coins, as you said they will be like items (Maybe shown or told how much it will cost)
And in the big box under the coins you see the result or klick an result and you'll be shown the stuff you need for to craft.
To accept the work you agree witht he Smith.... I am not really happy with this but just an idea with the information i got so far Very Happy

But i'd rather like to see some drag and drop crafting:
moving ore to forge and if you are successful you get an ore bar or something could be done with an window aswell, that would be something that would be fun to do or waste time on when bored go mining and melt ore Very Happy

Nice system but its a little complex.
I suggest more simple one. (for example more like in Runescape)
