Or if you were a clanner, you might use that.

Ex. "f u ur HOOD kos mofo!"

(kos = kill on sight)

Very true. I myself too am found of big maps. What was wrong with Akarra was that there were not enough room for everyone, so you had to fellowship with people you disliked to get experience. Like Dw.

Fellowships were the best part, even though the map was small. The full map would of been ginormous though.

Yeah ... What we would have needed or need in DoD is more dungeons for the same lvl so you or/and your fs can chose of diffrent areas not only one like EG/Shar... Tower/... where to go and with some luck you are alone in one of them

Not just that; they make you feel like you're actually in a whole new world.

Personally, I like big maps. It gives me the opportunity to find me a nice quiet place away from the general population where I can make a home for myself. As in Akarra, I took over the western portion of Wraith Woods for about 50 of my levels. I only dealt with the occasional wandering person or FS. Not that I'm anti social or anything, I leave that for Origon. ;P But sometimes I, like many others, just need to get away from people and commit monster genocide if you know what I mean. =D As for thewreck being worried the map is too open... Dude, just fill it with appropriate monsters and people will go there. Most of the problems we faced in the past was due to overcrowding... In fact, almost all of our problems were due to overcrowding. There's no such thing as too much map to travel and play on.

Most definetly agree. I did too, want a place alone for myself. Away from the people, just to level up and always encounter a monster somewhere. Fallen Willow Wood was my place for this. Never saw a single player in there during around 10 levels. NEVER. Unless i asked someone to come. This was very well suitable and i think it was great to have my own 'spot'.

I still remember cursing at people for killing my Walking Dead. I didn't like it that every n00b around the corner just had to come and steal it. Once for fun did a little test with my fair Wizard. He didn't look to fierce. i was attacking the Walking Dead with my staff and to my concern, a lot of people *tried* to Kill Steal me. Probably with the thought "Oh he's a n00b, i can probably take him if he attacked me". No one should ever be underestimated though.

I like it when i see someone killing the rabbits when i come from some hunting south. I like it to see someone trying to take on old Bek when i travel past them. I wouldn't wish to have seperate worlds. But as said before, a map can never be to big. Gives you perhaps the idea to be quite alone with no one near and think: "Perhaps i'm the first to have walked here". The best map (in size) i can imagine at this moment is the world map of WiA. That would be great, in size.

I always thought the WiA map was too small... or at least, didn't have enough spacious hunting spots.

Well the only thing I can say about the current map size.. its big lol. Its big for a 2d game (no offense to 2d gamers.. some 3d MMOG's are quite larger).

Anyways when I originally got the grided map the World Design team was to use and design off of I was just like

*jaw drops to floor..*

*picks up jaw off floor*

*scrolls the mouse for a good 2-3 seconds to zoom into the smallest grid, then decides we need more world designers Razz*

So I think I left that vague enough for you guys to debate about. Have fun Smile

I agree, there was one spot you could go if you were a certain level and you were solo, there was only one spot you could go to if you were a level with a group. If there were three or four or five spots you could go solo and three or four or five spots you could go as a group... That'd be great.

I have no problem with Daria or any of it's other staff. It was changed in response to his lies about fixing it, which he did NOT do.

As already said by some people in this thread; the WiA world were way too small.

I want a big and beautiful landscape :)
