I've been thinking, and would it be possible to make NPC's names have to be identified? Such as you roll your mouse over an NPC you do not know and get:

*rollover*
"Unknown"

After you interact with the person, you get to know their name, and it is forever remembered. This would help with quests, such as:

"Ouch, I remember this man, he was wearing *such and such*...He robbed me."

You could find a man, wearing *such and such*, and get the guy's stuff back. It would be much more difficult than simply traveling and looking for a certain NPC's name.

I can't find it now, but this has been discussed before. The idea is that everybody will be anonymous until they have presented themselves. For instance, you will be "A Human Man" until you have told people what your name is.

I like this idea. I guess it gives.. a feeling of more adventure into the game.

It's a really nice idea and I guess it would fit the game nicely. The only problem I see is for the developers Razz

It can be simple I think:

NPC Has 2 names:

Name 1: ???
Name 2: *Insert Official Name*

Name 1 is active until primary introduction, then once you click on the NPC, Name 2 is activated.

And the NPC has a file that keeps track of all players who knows/don't know their name.


Simple I think?

Indeed, shouldn't be too complicated, we're talking about the Dawn of Daria developers they can make dreams come true. Wink
