Hello all,

I have to leave for Florida for a school convention very soon so this is gonna be short. I originally had the contest to end when I would return but it was changed.

All submissions must be turned in on January 5th.

(The easiest way to do this is send thewreck a pm with a screenshot/link of the layout first. Then once he approves it through a pm send him the html/php format along with all the images to his e-mail address.)'

OR, post them in this thread.

Good luck to all and I will see you guys Saturday Night or Sunday Morning.

PM system won't send.

In Kalorian's abscence, I suggest we use this thread for the submissions only. I'll begin.

Did that when I tried to PM someone, it still got through. (I got a reply back.)

- Submission 1c

Last entry. Basically a more "enhanced" version of 1a, which now includes a quick "news" bar at the top, and a box for important or "side notes" that could be automatically put on the top of all pages if there is a server outage or other important information (though, in that case it should be a red color.)

Of course, the quick bar at the top could be used for anything, really. It could also be used for the main category links (home, news, about, contact, forum, etc.) and the sidebar could be used for sub-categories within the current page/category. Or vice versa, if there are not too many sub-categories (more than about 5.)

Edit: Oops. Fixed link. Thanks, Thandrophir.

- Submission 1d

Dunno if it's too late yet, as there's been no word yet on contest status, but here's one more modification. After staring at the font long enough, I realized that although 9pt Tahoma with some spacing is readable, just isn't comfortable enough for long passages of text.

So, I changed that to 10pt Verdana and also got rid of the underline on the copyright notice at the bottom. Unless the copyright notice is going to going to link to the contact page, the underline shouldn't have been there, and I'm too lazy to set up the proper CSS colors for the link.

If I had more time, I'd make links in the main content area underlined and in the same color as the text (black.) That's why there's no links demoed in the main content area.

But like I said, laziness. CSS and general code spiffiness is just not important at this point, anyway.

Edit: Grammar. Also forgot to mention that the justified paragraph in 1c was a mistake (I was playing with spacing and forgot to take it out.) However, I'll leave it as is.
