It's time for another leak!



As you can see, Daria will use an A* path-finding algorithm for some monsters and player movement. Akarra used a much simpler method, which caused some monsters to get stuck... no more of that! Wink

Wow, nice.

But I was just wondering could the bottom shot have taken a shorter route by going in the NE(Based on N being UP) direction?

Nah, I don't think so. In Daria you wont be able to move diagonal (NW, NE, SW, SE) if one of the "corners" are blocked. In other words, it's not possible to squeeze through if the grid looks like this:

Hehe hmm... Well, since you're asking. Movement will have 32 different directions instead of 8, and collisions are radius-based instead of cell-based.
